Recruitment Compliance

Everyone who recruits through Recruiter follows the law of the countries involved and the standards on this page. These apply alongside our Terms and Conditions.

Recruiters are never charged to join Recruiter. Recruiters must not charge candidates fees for placing them in a job, except where the law of the relevant country expressly allows it and it is disclosed in writing beforehand.

Treat every candidate fairly. Do not discriminate on the basis of gender, age, ethnicity, religion, disability, marital or family status, or any other protected characteristic.

Describe roles, employers, pay and conditions honestly. Do not make false promises about jobs, visas, income or outcomes, and never present a vacancy that does not exist.

Get a candidate’s agreement before you share their details with an employer, and handle personal information as the Privacy Policy and the Information Security Policy require.

When a role is in another country, follow that country’s immigration, labour and recruitment licensing rules. Where a licence or authorization is required, you must hold it before you act. We may ask you to show it.

Tell us about any conflict of interest in an assignment, and do not place a candidate in a way that benefits you at the candidate’s or the employer’s expense.

Keep accurate records of your recruitment activity on assignments, and give them to us if we reasonably ask for them.

You complete our compliance and Information Security Training and assessment before access, and we may ask you to refresh it. We may re-verify you from time to time.

If you see something that breaks these standards, tell us through the form on our home page. We take every report seriously and do not punish people who report in good faith.

We may suspend or end access if these standards are not met, and report unlawful conduct to the authorities.
